Thrifted top/jeans/blazer/heels, Wristology watch c/o, Payless clutch
You guys, I thrifted 7 jeans. Are they real? Doubtful... but they're as close as I'm getting to real. Maybe if I look closely at the tag they're really 17 jeans, and that's ok with me if that "1" saved me over $150.
It's just like when I sneak candy into the movie theater from the dollar store. While everyone else is eating $10 Sour Patch Kids, I'm eating $1 Sour Kiddos. Like Shakespeare said, candy by any other name will taste as sweet.

Uhh, that's awesome! I bet they're real 7 jeans. I've seen some crazy expensive things at thrift stores that make me wonder "why??? why would someone not want this??"
ReplyDeleteI love that you quoted Shakespeare :) I definitely do the same thing when I go to the movies! Such a classic look - love the blazer and blouse, and it's so awesome that you thrifted some Sevens!

I totally choose to believe they're real. :) And I totally sneak candy into the theater too!! You know you're not a rebel when sneaking candy into the movies makes you feel like a rebel.
ReplyDeleteThe jeans look great! I love the color of the blouse and the blazer is a great cut too! Do you have to tailor a lot of your thrited finds or do you spend a lot of time making sure you find your size?
ReplyDeleteThat blouse is beautiful, and you've given me an idea to style my boot cut jeans!
ReplyDeletevery chic look! that is also a great clutch :)

Whhhhattttt! Thirfted 7's? You have the magic touch girlfriend. I bet they're real–I have faith in your skillzzz.
ReplyDeleteWow you find some really great stuff on thrift stores. I don't have that much luck or maybe its the lack of patience to calmly go through every rack until you find those hidden gems.
ReplyDeletei like your look!!
ReplyDeleteThey look close enough to the real thing for me! I thrifted a 7 shirt once and was pretty excited about that! They can be found!
ReplyDeleteOh we totally sneak in our own candy to the movies too. It's not worth paying $10 for what they sell!
Love the simplicity of this outfit, and cute clutch.

What a score! I don't have the patience for thrifting but you always make me want to keep trying! Love the outfit!
ReplyDeleteOoh, Megan, I really like this outfit! It has that simple elegance and class that you do so well :) I'm like you - I sneak cheap snacks into the movie theater to save money :)
ReplyDeleteHaha sour kiddos. Thanks for that. I love dollar store candy. That $9 savings is what makes them taste so delicious.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, your thrift stores are amazing. I find NOTHING at mine!
ReplyDeleteThey look real to me! And they fit you perfectly. What an awesome find! I love that clutch, too!
ReplyDeleteWooohooo!! You are a thrifting queen!! I need to explore the thrift shops in my new area, maybe that will be tomorrow or Friday's adventure.
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! It's perfect, and you look fantastic :)
Great score Megan! I love when that happens. Fake or not, these jeans look great on you!

Doll, who cares if they are fake. I don't care if I find a pair of jeans that looks great at WalMart! They fit and make my butt look amazing, I'm getting them. No shame.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! We'll just pretend they're real, even if they aren't. But you never know! I thrifted a Diane Von Furstenburg shift/blouse the other day and sat there wondering if it was a fake tag or if it was real. And turns out... it's real.
ReplyDeleteWe sneak dollar candy into the theater every time. Why pay $7 for a package you can get at the dollar store (knockoff brand) for way less?
Your dorky follower here. I thought, Wow 7 pairs of jeans! Why do I admit these things? Yes, I am familiar with 7 for Mankind jeans for the record. Does that redeem me in the slightest? Superb fit, and length for you. And I love that clutch.
ReplyDeleteSue xo
That would be amazing if they were real, but if not, who cares...they look great!
ReplyDeletemy favourites here are your accessories. especially that watch but also the clutch and your necklace.
ReplyDeleteanyway, I want a watch like that for myself too now :P

Who cares! As long as they look good, just act as if they without a doubt are real. Who else would know, anyway?

seven or seventeen you look fabulous in these jeans! Classic and chic look, I especially love the pop of pattern you added with that clutch!
ReplyDeleteI love it when a thrift trip turns out like that. Even if they aren't really 7 jeans, they look great on you!
ReplyDelete"Sour Kiddos" LOL
ReplyDeleteYour "Sevens" look very nice! It's awesome when you can find pants that fit at the thrift store. I usually have a difficult time finding them.
i always bring candy into the movies. and you are the thrifting queen!!
ReplyDeleteforlaurenandlauren.blogspot.com
Sour kiddos lol if they taste just as good then it doesn't matter. Same goes with those jeans except substitute taste for look.
ReplyDeletexx Allie
Oh dear, you made me laugh so hard over the candy thing. I always sneak my candy in as well. It's like hmmm, $6 for a tiny box of candy from the concession stand or sneak in a $1 huge box of candy? The big box wins every time.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that you thrifted such nice jeans, those are hard to find! Every now and then I find a gem in the jean aisle but it's usually full of old navy and lee jeans. These look fantastic on you and I really like them with the classic blazer and the bright top.
very nice!!! thanks for sharing

Those jeans fit so well, you certainly made a great outfit with these bargains. Love it! :) Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you Gloria! :) What a nice thing to hear.
ReplyDeleteYep, these are the ones :) Thanks, Catie!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was awesome to finally meet Katie - we've been emailing back & forth for so long and I already felt like I'd known her forever! We already want to plan our next trip to hang out :)
Thanks, Laura! I try not to thrift things that don't fit right because I know I'll never get around to altering them. Which is why I rarely thrift jeans... they usually don't fit right, but these ones worked! Usually the biggest alteration I'll do with a thrift store find is take up the hem.
ReplyDeleteNice thrifting find! They fit you so well :)
ReplyDeleteBTW I've been following your blog for a little bit now but haven't left a comment yet, I just love your style and your photos are beautiful. I loved your post on self-photo tips!
How tall are you? Your legs look so long in these photos.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the great thrift fine! You look stunning, as always!
