Francesca's dress, Thrifted necklace, Fossil shoes, French Connection bag
The weather was amazing this weekend, and I wore this dress for the first time in months without tights. It was a little scary; I felt like I was one breeze away from flashing my penguin underwear.
Speaking of scary, I'm not sure what's more terrifying - the fact that I'm progressively getting more pale as I age, or the fact that I looked like Chucky with bangs for a period of my life.

Hehe you have the cutest pictures as a little girl!! So lucky you get to wear dresses like that! Looks like spring!

you were so cute and now you are stunning. Love this fashion flashback.

These are my favorite posts Megan! You were such a cute little kid (not like Chucky). Love the dress, and LOVE that gorgeous purple necklace :)
ReplyDeleteYou did NOT look like Chucky. You were so cute. These are my favorite posts too! I'm also getting much paler with age but I think that's a good thing. Hopefully are skin will look fantastic when we are older :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have dress/short/skirt weather right now. You're pale skin looks great and you do NOT look like that psycho Chucky. You're so cute when you're little.
ReplyDeleteStop it. This is too adorable! I'm pretty sure I had the same outfit when I was young, and you're totally rocking the "grown up" version perfectly. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou so did not! You were too cute! Megan this dress looks so awesome on you. Love the print!
ReplyDeleteAhh sooo cute! I love how you re-created the pose with this picture!
ReplyDeleteAh, I love it when people feature flashbacks. Don't worry, I too as a child grew up with chunky bangs, golden locks and super tan skin...only to morph into a pale brunette. Funny how age does that. I love the combination of your shoes and bag; they complement each other so well.
ReplyDeleteYou did NOT look like Chucky! I am SO jealous that you are out in short sleeves and no tights...please send the warm weather over here!

I love your fashion flashbacks! My bangs pretty much looked like that too for a number of years in my youth!
ReplyDeleteI love your dress and necklace - very pretty combo!
I love these posts!! That dress looks fantastic on you. Haha, I'm always worried about flashing people my underwear too. Great look! :)
ReplyDeleteHow cute!!! That print on this dress is great! xoLili

You were so incredibly adorable as a kid!!!!!! So great :) I love your dress... and it has pockets... so even better!
ReplyDeleteHaha, aww, still so adorable and such a fun quirky style. I love the dress print colours. xx/Madison
ReplyDeleteOh man, I LOVE your Flashback posts. It's so interesting that the more things change, the more they stay the same. I see the same thing in my own family photos. It makes me think that personality is more deeply ingrained at birth than we like to think.

haha that photo is so cute! Love the cute pattern on this dress!
ReplyDeleteoh man, i WISH i could wear a dress or short sleeve top! it is still snowing and below freezing here in MN! but nonetheless, you look great! :)
ReplyDeleteOh man, I am so ready for dresses without tights! Of course, we got more snow today. But soon! I love this dress. And the photo of you as a child is adorable. Not Chucky-esque at all!
ReplyDeleteLol "chucky with bangs" you looked adorable. And you look great now. Lovely dress and your flats are so cute.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love the dress, and of course your gorgeous hair.
ReplyDeleteI love your flashback posts! Great dress - I kinda thought it was a romper at first. I'm jealous of your bare legs. We got a tease of warm weather last week but it's gone already. Bummer!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite features! Also, you look adorable (both then and now). Love how purple looks with your hair.

I love these post, you look adorable in both pictures! That dress your wearing now is super cute!!
ReplyDeletePale isn't scary, in your case, pale is very pretty! Love your look today...demure, and pretty. Just don't flip someone those penguin panties, LOL.

I think you were so so cute as a kid, not like Chucky at all. lol

BAHAHA OMG I love these!!!
ReplyDelete5ft 10 is the perfect height! You don't look tall and awkward at all, I am jealous. I'm 5ft 7.5 (I hold on to that .5 really badly!) and I've always said I wanted to be 5ft 10!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos you take when you are walking and looking back. Looking wonderful as always =) You def are an inspiration to me when taking photos, I've stolen the whole 'hair touch' and 'dropped pen' look that you posted in your tutorial (which I really appreciated by the way!)

You look so cute, and I totally had a skirt flying up situation over the weekend... I'll have to send the pic NOT going in the blog post...
ReplyDeleteAww I think you look adorable. And I'm trying not to be incredibly jealous of you being able to sport bare legs. It's supposed to be in the mid-30s this week, and I think I'm going crazy!
ReplyDeleteI love that dress on you! So cute! You know people in my country will die to get fair, white skin :)
ReplyDeleteyou're the same beautiful girl!! :)

Chuckie with bangs? LOL! You look nothing like that horrible doll! I do love that dress you're wearing though, and can totally relate with the fear of breezes when wearing short skirts. At least you're wearing cute knickers!

ReplyDeleteI wish I could go without tights! We're having a cold spell here on the east coast - yuck.

So cute! Your dress is adorable and I love the cool pattern on it. I think I'm getting paler with age too. Either that or I just am way more conscious of my time in the sun!
ReplyDeleteAww, your fashion flashbacks are always so fun and cute. That's so fun how your outfit today echos this older once, it's really adorable and I am so jealous, look at your rocking the bare legs right now!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely printed dress! :) Funny how you're starting to wear things without tights and I'm starting to think I'm going to need to begin wearing them! :)
ReplyDeleteAway From The Blue
This is one of my favourite outfits of yours. It is such a gorgeous dress with a lovely necklace. It is great to see a fashion flashback. It makes me think of how I wear similar outfits now to when I was a child also.

Great outfit!! Flashback is so cute!
ReplyDeleteHi there Megan. I am Ada and have followed your blog for a few months now though I have only commented once or twice before - sorry, too busy. Anyway I love your style. And OMG the two picture comparison today - so precious. I love your cute little girly, mini dress and it looks perfect with that Magenta Statement Necklace. Francesca has some awesome, unique stuff, doesn't it. I consider it a sister store of Anthropologie because they both have fun, unique items, though Francesca is much more affordable. =)
ReplyDeleteI'd love for you to stop by my page too and hopefully you support me by following me. Consider me your new fan & follower. Oh and check this out:

This is seriously so funny, i love the flashback! You definitely did not look like chucky though, very cute :)

Hi Megan, I am new to following your blog, and just love it!! Not to mention the great curls!! I think I read most of your blog today!!
ReplyDeleteobsessed with your fierce model pose as a kid; so adorable! maybe a little menacing, but not quite chucky territory.... ha!
ReplyDeleteThat last line had me laughing out loud. You kill me.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! And this is why I don't wear dresses much - they don't make them long enough for tall girls, and I'm not secure enough in my underwear choices to risk flashing them to the world ;)
ReplyDeletelife-etcblog.blogspot.com.au
i love your fashion flashbacks. they are PRETTY much my favorite thing ever. love love love.
ReplyDeleteI love that you looked pretty damn cool as a little kid. I was dressed in the most AWFUL clothes when I was a kid. All leggings and things with huge bows and too big macs.
ReplyDeleteAnd it is just adorable that you have the same kind of dress again years later.

Hi Megan! I think it's darling that you have these fashion flashback posts! Very creative! I was thinking about doing the same...but unfortunately, my style as a child wasn't as forward-thinking as yours. :) I also wanted to let you know that you have really inspired me to start blogging again! Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.sincerelysammie.com/
Thanks, Sammie! And I"m so flattered that I've inspired you to start blogging again :) Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteHi Ada! Thanks for your sweet comment. And I completely agree about Francesca's... it is a bit like Anthropologie but way more affordable :)
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks Corinne! And I love that you're trying the poses I shared - they feel natural to me so I'm glad they worked for you too :)
ReplyDeleteI love your fashion flashback posts! You were such a little cutie :) Your pink necklace is super pretty, too - what fun shade of pink! Perfect for spring/summer!
