Thrifted top and purse, Gap jeans, J. Crew blazer, Blowfish flats c/o
While I was minding my own business, taking photos of myself behind a warehouse, a guy walked up and started questioning what I was doing.
He was "concerned" because he lives nearby and there's been a lot of theft in the area. I couldn't help but laugh and get sarcastic as I explained that I understood his concerns - I mean, obviously I go around robbing homes at 1:30 in the afternoon with a camera, and in my brightest coat. Also, I'm not sure what he was worried about me taking, because my collection of stolen rusty pipes is already complete.

that is really funny. and a little awkward! love your red blazer!! forlaurenandlauren.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteAh, the joy of being caught taking outfit pictures. If only the rest of the world could understand our vanity :) Love the colors of your top and how perfectly your blazer compliments them.

ReplyDeleteLove that blazer, I was so tempted to just get it with their current sale it is a great price! But, I wasn't sure how the color would look with my skin and if I would need a tall...is your's a tall? I think I might just take the plunge but, in fuchsia, which I think would be better for my complexion. Also, those flats are so cute!
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious! Well, if anything, you're the best dressed thief I've ever seen :)

Love the red blazer!
ReplyDeleteJEANS. Love the shoes; glad to see you're now feeding foot fetishes with close-ups. This seems like a different look for you. More 80s? Punky? I'm not sure. But I dig it.
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable, Megan! But you also look quite suspicious cuz you know, you can never trust someone in snakeskin flats.
ReplyDeleteThat blouse is FABULOUS. Love the colors, love the flowers!
ReplyDeleteThe blazer is amazing, especially with the pops of color from the shirt! I would have to agree that this would not, however, make a good outfit for mid-day robberies haha! Happy friday to you (and a happy New Year as well)!

Oh, man, too funny! You do look awfully suspicious :) I love the subtle pattern play with the blouse and the shoes!

You're the best dressed burglar I've ever seen. I'm always hiding from red and orange pieces so I'm pretty jealous that you made this amazing blazer work. Not many red heads can wear red but you made it work flawlessly.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking you looked pretty suspicious....haha. I love that top. You are such a good thrifter. I would have probably passed over that little gem at the thrift store.

Love the printed top with the red blazer!

Hahahaha oh gosh, these awkward interactions only could happen to a certain type--and by that, I mean bloggers who quickly try and snap selfies without going noticed by the general public! Myself included, obviously. :) I am in love with your red blazer--my favorite!
ReplyDeleteHa! I had plenty of awkward questions like that... but mostly it was people asking me if I was a surveyor (it's the tripod.) And I was always tempted to answer "Do you think a surveyor would dress like this?" Anyway, your red blazer is lovely!
ReplyDeletePeople are ridiculous! I guess one way to not look suspicious is to stand out in a super obvious, super bright way. Well done, friend, well done. I wish I looked cute in blazers like that, but I don't! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, you are the least suspicious person I could possibly imagine! I LOVE your top...such a pretty floral!

What a stupid ass! HaHaHa Oh Megan! What you ladies put up with. Great outfit! Love that top, blazer and your shoes.
ReplyDeleteDude, that's crazy. didn't he know that everything burglar likes to document themselves step by step? (And doing it in bright coats to boots!) Heh, I always end up going out into the woods just because of things like this, I've gotten so shy now about people asking me what Im up too that I just don't even want to try it. :P
ReplyDeleteI do just love your flats with the ankles straps, those are so fun and spiffy looking, no chance of those going flying off!
I love this outfit on you :)
ReplyDeletexxx
Should have asked him if you were stealing his thunder... :D Can't think of any other real reason for him to be concerned. :) You look so pretty! x
ReplyDeleteLove your blazer and top Megan! SO cute :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine! I didn't get a tall...I'm 5'10" and I think the regular length falls at a good place.
ReplyDeleteI did get it cut! Thanks for noticing :)
ReplyDeleteThanks that helps a lot! I agree, the length looks perfect. I can just go for a regular, since I'm only 5' 7".
ReplyDeleteClearly you were "casing the joint."
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit! That blazer and shirt were meant for each other, and for you.
I love your outfit. I'm agreeing with the previous comments about the shirt and blazer are met created for each other. I even pinned this outtfit.
ReplyDeleteI swear, when people wanna talk to you, it's about crazy things. One guy asked me to take video of his workouts and come workout with him....LOL! I love the red jacket though - so cute
