Friday marks the 8th anniversary of my first date with Kevin. It sounds cliche, but we fell in love that night and I knew he was my future husband. Now that we're celebrating the date as a married couple for the first time, we want it to be extra special (this means appetizers, you guys... we never get appetizers).
We're recreating our first date, movie & dinner, and we've even requested the same table at "our" restaurant. LuLu*s sent me two outfits to choose from and I need your help! Please vote below for your favorite, because clearly your opinion means more to me than Kevin's.

LuLu*s Backless Black Dress, Pocketry Jacket (in black) and Two-Toned Flats c/o, Limited clutch

LuLu*s Striped Dress (on sale!) and D'Orsay Wedges c/o, Thrifted clutch

I think this is adorable! Such a great idea to recreate your first date. :)
ReplyDeleteI voted for the first outfit because of the S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G cutout and the dotted bag... what can I say, I just love dots! Have fun!
Happy dateiversary! That is so cute that you guys are going to recreate your first date :) I voted for the first dress...the back of it is gorgeous!

Aw, I don't think my pick is going to win. I went for Stripey Wifey, although I think both are lovely :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your first date anniversary! That's so sweet. My husband and I celebrate ours, if not by having a date, then by looking at each other lovingly across the dinner table as our children whine for more juice and macaroni and cheese. It's always magical, either way.
Both looks are really cute!! But I love the first one. Did you just cut your hair or has it always been that short, idk it looks a little different and VERY CUTE!!
ReplyDeletePS. I just read your names for each and literally laughed out loud! LOL
That backless dress is incredible! So sexy and perfect for a date with your man! So sweet! My husband actually recreated our first date when he proposed to me. :) Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHappy date-anniversary. The good thing of being maried is you can celebrate two anniversaries! At least we take the chance to go out for a very special dinner twice per year... I voted for the first outfit. I love the surprise of the black dress and the leather jacket is great, too.
ReplyDeleteSassy black dress and blazer! Perfect for an anniversary! I think is is so cute that you celebrate your first date. That's what I want to do when I get married. Any excuse to celebrate right? Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteAw, congratulations!!! Appetizers definitely means things are serious haha. I always try to save room for dessert so I never go for the appetizers either. I love that you're recreating your first date - that is adorable!
ReplyDeleteBoth dresses look fabulous on you! I love the way you styled each of them, but I think the black on is my favorite.
Have an absolutely wonderful time on Friday! :)
I SUPER LOVE that dress Megan! It is HOT HAUTE girl! You two have a great time! I think it's MARVELOUS! Happy Date Anniversary!

i love them both! i hope you get to keep both of them!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your anniversary! Hope you have a wonderful time celebrating. Outfit wise is definitely no. 1. So pretty! x
ReplyDeletegirl you look good in both! but love the back of that pleather! gorgeous.

Both of these are adorable, but the first one feels a little more special date night than the second one. Congratulations on 8 years! That's so wonderful!

They're both great, but I think the first one is absolute perfection for a sexy date night.
ReplyDeleteAwwww.. Wonderful looks, my dear!
ReplyDeletejust wonderful!

It's got to be #1 for me! On account of the clutch most of all. And I can say with some certainty Matt and I will never recreate our first date, as it was a hockey game, and I only said yes because he was so cute, and he only proposed it because the tickets were free.
ReplyDeleteBoth are so pretty, but I just love the open back on the black one. So sweet you too recreate your first date <3

I absolutely love option one–it's perfect for a date night! It's such a sweet thing that you're recreating your first date–I love it!
ReplyDeleteAwww, this is too touching! Maybe I'm overly hormonal, but I'm really moved. :) Have a very happy anniversary and may long years of happyness await you!
ReplyDelete(I'd choose the backless dress - I think any Husbands would prefer backless dresses. :)
Such a hard decision! You look SO cute in that striped dress....but the back on that black dress? Now that's SEX-AY :) SO I say go for sexy...gotta keep things real :) And Happy 1st date anniversary...enjoy those apps!

Wow. 8 years? That's awesome. Love the cut out back on the first dress.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a difficult decision. In daily life, I would prefer the second outfit, but the black one is probably more 'date-night-y'!

Both beautiful! But that black dress just makes you shine!
ReplyDeleteohhh both of these look great on you! But for a nice night out I would definitely choose number one. How gorgeous is that back!
ReplyDeleteWow, they are both amazing - but I think I vote for number one because it definitely says date night to me! And I'm glad I"m not the only one that still recognizes my dating anniversary with my husband! Congrats on 8 years!
ReplyDeleteThey are both so cute! The only logical answer is that you will have to go on 2 celebratory dates!
ReplyDeletehttp://just-another-smith.blogspot.com/
I vote that you wear the lovely black dress with the maroon tights. Both outfits are super cute, though!
ReplyDeleteSo fun, and congratulations! I think number one says more "date night" while you would get way more mileage out of number two for everyday beyond the date night.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I love the first outfit. The black and brown mix is one of my favorites, and the little open back is HOT.

Congrats on your anniversary !! Number 1 for me :)

Black dress for sure! Look at that back!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I picked number one because I love the LBD and the jacket. Congrats on your anniversary- love hearing about love!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your anniversary, how sweet! It was such a hard decision but I went with outfit #1...it's just the right amount of sexy which will be perfect for your date night!
ReplyDeleteOh Megan. I love both of these looks very much. But little black dresses with sexy open backs just scream date night to me. I do think you look great in the striped number as well. I hope you guys have a great first date night!
ReplyDeleteAhh 8 years since your first date?! That's so awesome!! I think both dresses are gorgeous, but the backless black is my vote, very date appropriate
ReplyDeleteaww you are both so cute! I love how you spelled "date" ;) i love both looks, but that first look ROCKS!! were your flats are a recent purchase? I love them!

C's Evolution of Style
It's so hard to choose...both outfits are so cute! But I vote for the little black dress...the open back is stunning!
ReplyDeleteThe black dress is more date night. The stripe dress is more daytime, or weekend. Hope that helps!

I love both but the first is my favourite :)

First anniversary as husband and wife? DEFINITELY have to go with outfit #1. This is a special occasion, and it calls for a gorgeous LBD.

Both looks are so lovely, but I love seeing colour on you so that's why I voted for the Stripey Wifey. x

I'm in the majority with going with #1!! But honestly, both look amazing on you. That is so fun that you're recreating your first date. That's what Noel did when he proposed to me :-)
ReplyDeletedancingwithashley.blogspot.com
As much as I'm all about a colourful canvas, I chose outfit number one for you. I'm swooning over that LBD like nobody's business. It's the cut of the back that really did it. I always remember the scene in Flashdance when Alex removes her jacket, and Hello! Suddenly, she goes from demure to hot. Happy 8th Anniversary of your first date. Enjoy your appies and your evening.
ReplyDeletePS I also have a weak spot for polka dots. 'Nuf said.
LOVE the black dress! You just look drop dead gorgeous :) Perfect for an anniversary celebration :)
ReplyDeletehappy happy happy anniversary of your first date (on Friday!) so sweet :)

hello Megan!
ReplyDeleteI am one of the 85% going for #1 at the moment. I think it has a solid lead. So romantic of you to do the first date reenactment. So romantic.
I wish you a very lovely evening,

I voted for the striped dress...but I think it's because I am drawn to the colored tights. Congrats on 8 wonderful years!

I love them both, but for some reason that black number with the leather jacket seemed both badass AND sexy, which is really what you were going for I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your dating-versary. My hubby and I had our 9 year dating-iversary in December.
I voted for pleather partner simply because backless dress + appetizers = a night to remember. :) Congrats on 8 happy years!
ReplyDeleteOf course the sexy backless black dress! It has all the elements of making the date a little extra special :)
ReplyDeleteI like the comment about you wearing the black dress with the maroon tights!!! Love the stripes, but backless?! Ooh lala. I have to go with that one! Your hub doesn't stand a chance tonight! <3 Congrats and I hope you enjoy your appetizers!!! :P

I love both the outfits, but I have picked the first one because the second looks a little more casual, the first looks like a 'going out for a hot date'. It also compliments you figure a lot more than the second, you look smokin' lady!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 8 years, I cannot imagine being with the same person for that long. You are very lucky!

Congrats on your 8th date anniversary! So sweet! And lucky you - being sent two gorgeous outfits to try! I definitely love that black and tan combo - super sophisticated :)
ReplyDeletelife-etcblog.blogspot.com.au
Black dress, spotty bag, black wedges and maroon tights! The cut out on that black dress is amazing, but with the black tights it's just too much black.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the anniversary of the date. Hope this date is even better :)
We like to celebrate the anniversary of our first date too (11 years for us - yikes, how time flies) and use it as an excuse to do something totally crazy like order a whole bottle of wine. Both of these looks are so cute; I guess it depends on how fancy the restaurant is, but for something slightly more casual I love that striped dress.
ReplyDeleteI love the first dress and the shoes!
ReplyDeleteaspiringforever.blogspot.com
I'm going with dress number one! I love the cut out back, so surprising and sexy!
ReplyDeleteHappy date-versary- Mine and Curtis's is January 22 (and it will be FIFTEEN YEARS! WTF!?!?)
Congratulations on your anniversary! You look amazing in both looks, but I just love love the first one. The black dress completes your lovely night :) Great post as always xo akiko
ReplyDeleteStyle Imported
I alright voted, but I'm just going to comment that #1 is beautiful for date night - exactly what you need for one of those special nights. #2 is cute, but maybe too cute if you know what I mean :)
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS :)
That dress looks amazing on you! And that jacket is awesome too!

I like that backless one! Oooh la la and va va voom!

I like both outfits! But I feel like your husband would like outfit number one the best :-)
ReplyDelete~Jessica
I'm feeling outfit #1, but the stripes are super cute, too!
ReplyDeletehttp://2ndhandknowledge.wordpress.com
Ooh, I voted for the striped one, but looks like the pleather dress is going to win by a landslide...
ReplyDeleteFirst off, awwwwww! That is just crazy sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your first outfit, that is something I would wear in a heartbeat! (Its not like I wear a brown leather jacket most of the time or anything.) The brow is gorgeous with the black dress and the silhouette on the dress looks amazing on you. It's such an understated look but it's so gorgeous.
The second looks is lovely as well, the belt with the two little lovebirds kissing is too sweet. I hope you two have a wonderful date anniversary!
Love the first one! I am following you <3<3
ReplyDeleteI got a giveaway on my blog and I would love you to enter

Happy first date anniversary! How fun! I love you in both outfits, but the first is my favorite. The cutout back is so sexy. You look gorgeous! Have an amazing date and enjoy those appetizers! :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww how sweet & what a HOT outfit to wear for date night!!!

This is too adorable-- the story and the looks. Especially love the first, it's romantic and chic for a date night with your sweetie! xo
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt outfit #1. Definitely a special date dress :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I voted for the Pleather Partner look, and it looks like its getting the majority of votes. Its just...wow, so beautiful! And a sexy cut out back? I'm sure Kevin will love it ;)
ReplyDeleteTrendy Teal
Love the burgundy tights!!!
ReplyDeleteFirst outfit says SEXY and call me, maybe. So first outfit for the first date. :D
