Thrifted top/skirt/beanie, Target scarf, Old Navy trench, Seychelles wedges via DSW
My last thrifted pink pencil skirt shrunk, and my pesky ribs kept getting in the way of me wearing it. I went on a thrifting mission for a new one, and after 4 months I finally found one that's the perfect shade of pink... and as an added perk I can breathe and sit in it.
Some may call it luck, but I call it thrifting-twice-a-week-for-12-weeks-and-not-giving-up. Patience is key, which is easy to say now but is not what I told myself each time I left the thrift store without a pink skirt.

It's perfect! And so are your shoes! I'm still holding out for the perfect black pencil skirt.
ReplyDeleteI need to wear more skirts (colorful ones, too!)- you've convinced me!
ReplyDeleteAt least it was worth the wait, your skirt is so cute love the color.
ReplyDeleteI think it was worth the wait. It really is the perfect color! I also love it with the patterned tights!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would've been as patient as you! Love the hot pink and your cap toe wedges are sooo cute!

I love this outfit! With the printed tights and tstrap wedges it has a very 1920s/30s vibe to it :)
ReplyDeletePreach it, sister! It's funny, people think us thrifters breeze into the store and items just jump off the racks into our carts, but it's persistence that does it! What a great skirt too - love those angular seams.
ReplyDeleteI call it patience too! I do not have that kind of patience or ability to do thrifting anymore. I love the pink skirt - it's beautiful on you!!! and those wedges are ADORABLE!

Love it as always! Cute beanie too. I need one today to stay warm in this office!
ReplyDeleteI too love thrifting. It's all about the possibilities. Enter with an open mind; leave with a treasure. But then there is the beast known as the thrift mission. I'm on one now. A men's tie in light, bright colours. Eighties, but not screaming Sonny Crockett. I'm so happy you found your pink skirt. It looks adorable on you, and it gives me hope that my tie will find me soon. Love your cable knit beanie too.
ReplyDeleteLoving your shoes and skirt Megan!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I wish I had more time to thrift.
ReplyDeleteEek! (That was a squeal, not a mouse that I accidentally stepped onto.) I love this look, Megan! The hat works so well with the pink skirt and the stockings and the shoes! So chic! :D
