*Heels, Pants, Top*

These are Lauren Conrad pants, meaning her brand... I didn't take them from her. I don't typically steal things, except one time a guy left a restaurant without touching his muffin and I reached over and snagged it off his plate. Maybe I shouldn't have shared that?

Now, let's not go spreading this around, but I was a huge fan of The Hills (and Laguna Beach, let's be real here). LC was actually never my favorite on the show; I kind of liked Heidi before she started dating that fool and went all Michael Jackson on us.

I like embarrassing TV shows (I spent 5 days not leaving the house to watch every episode of Greek on Netflix). I can't help it, 2 episodes and 1 row of Oreos in and I'm hooked.

  1. I love your shoes and bag. They are so chic. First time I saw Greek I was expecting to see something Greek on TV. Then dissapointed I asked my friend and he said that it is not about Greeks but it is just a title. (Yes I'm Greek and stupid)
    Have a great day!

  2. I love your necklace and blazer - this is such a nice, put together look :) Haha, I like embarrassing TV shows too...Toddlers and Tiaras is one I can't get enough of.

  3. That top is such a gorgeous shade of blue! Someone from my high school was in Greek - he's our school's biggest claim to fame ; ) I get sucked into guilty pleasure TV shows too - Lost, Once Upon a Time, and I've been known to watch an entire season of America's Next Top Model in a day...

  4. Haha, me too! I watch all sorts of embarrassing TV, but once I start I just can't stop! I love how easily you mixed black and brown in this outfit and that blue silky top is very pretty :)

  6. I always wonder about food people leave on their plates. Like totally untouched. I wonder if a worker will eat it or if they have self-control(unlike me) and just throw it away. Hmmph.

  7. I adore your top! You always have the best outfits! So jealous.

I never liked LC either she annoyed the crap out of me. She's so possessive of everything and everyone in her life. ugh. I guess that's it's good "tv?"

I hate to admit I love her collection though it's simple and romantic.

  14. I gotta check out these Lauren Conrad clothes I keep seeing. I've been on the prowl for a pair like that.

I'm a big fan of the Laguna Beach series too, despite the show being for a demographic much younger than me. On a trip to LA / San Diego, I made my husband stop in the LB so I could see all the local hangouts from the TV shows. I was all like, "OMG, this is the basketball court that Stephen played on in season 1!"

  15. I have a friend in high school who played Anthony Hopkins in Greek. I've never seen the show (I just can't make myself watch it!), but apparently he was on for a least a full season, and for I know is still on it. We were in a couple of plays together in high school, so I've decided that that pretty much makes me just as famous as him. Love the blue top :)

  16. I never really watched her shows but I gotta admit LC has really good style. I have her book and I really like it. She always looks really put together and cute and her kohls stuff is nice, I like the pants!

Oh, and the blueberry muffin? Damn straight you took it. Those are too delicious to just be left there :)

  19. Duuuuuuuude...I'm a secret Hills & Laguna lover too! I was pretty obsessed & was fairly devastated when it was over. LC was never my fave either - I kinda liked Audrina & Lo the best. Heidi always bothered me but I became FASCINATED with her transformation after King DBag got a hold of her. I mean, I've seen girls change drastically over a guy before but that was such a whole new level I was happy to stand by & watch. And the sad part for her was that everyone else knew they were playing a part for the show but she forgot & it kinda ruined her life. Aaaaahhhh...the Hills....

Anyway, I really like the color of that shirt..pretty blue. I gotta say, I went into Old Navy for the first time in a loooooooong time this week & I was pretty impressed with their selection. They've stepped up their game!

  20. Hey, we all have guilty pleasures, right? (for me it's Work of Arts... oh so much craziness and pretentiousness. Also America's Next Top Model. Because it just baffles me to be point of being entertaining.)

I really like the clean lines and simple color scheme of the outfit. And those pants are nice. I never glance at the Lauren Conrad section at Kohl's because I always think, "The Hills, ugh," but maybe I should now :P

  27. I never got into the Hills when it was on TV, but when it came on Netflix I straight marathoned it for an entire weekend. Curly-haired-boy was so irritated. This weekend it was back & forth between Greek & 'How I Met Your Mother'. Love me some cheesy TV. Some friends used to call me LC because of Lauren Conrad, and also they are my initials. I'm ok with that because I think she's super pretty.

  33. I loved "Laguna Beach", no joke. When I found out my boyfriend is from there, I basically had a celebrity sighting moment, even though he's just a nerdy physicist. Have you seen "Friday Night Lights"? That's the next thing I plan to watch all the way through on Netflix.

    I love your casual tuck.

  34. Guilty!! BUT only in the VERY beginning of The Hills... back when she was dating Jordan, had her old nose, hardly wore any makeup, and was a sweetie. Then she turned all crazy and vain. I honestly don't care much for anyone on the show, but it's so damn entertaining!

  35. Greek is one of my favorite guilty pleasure shows. I may or may not have cried at the series finale. :-P

  46. Um I don't think Greek is as embarrassing as Say Yes to the Dress, so don't worry, you're fine! I held off on The Hills for SO long, then finally last summer when I had my wisdom teeth removed (then dry sockets...I was out for like a month) I watched all of them and became so obsessed!

Anyway, absolutely love this whole look. Loving that the pop of blue with the shirt gives some brightness to an otherwise classic but very chic look. Beautiful as ever love :) Oh and check your inbox, just emailed you!

My husband looked at me like I had just smoked a crack rock or something for watching it, but it was a guilty pleasure just like The OC, which he also thought to be worthless. I love that blue top and those shoes are fun-tabulous (fun and fabulous, see what I did there?) Oh, and as for the muffin, I would have taken it too. Who abandons a perfectly good muffin? ReplyDelete
  56. I am pretty sure they just throw everything out... good thing I don't work at a restaurant, because I definitely wouldn't have self-control. I'd probably be eating people's meals as I brought them out to them.

  60. Oh wow, that's really cool!!! You should seriously watch it. When I first started it, I was cringing it was so ridiculously bad... then I kept watching, and watching and soon enough I loved all the characters and NEEDED to know what happened next (nothing really ever happened either). And yes, that definitely makes you just as famous :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Ew, Lo? No way haha. I mean, yeah, she's got her head on straight but she always came across as a conceited bitch. Yes, Heidi got so so so annoying but I have loved watching her life spiral into the toilet so much. I agree, she definitely forgot she was in a show and let everything go way too far. And I agree, Audrina is one of the better ones... she is really sweet, and seems to get pushed around by possessive LC a lot.

Yes! Old Navy has stepped up their game! Some of their items are super cute.

  62. Ok good, I'm glad you said this. I was considering watching it all the way through a second time (and probably third) and now I feel a little more sane. I'm doing it.

I've never seen Friday Night Lights - you'll have to let me know how it is!!

  64. I was pretty into The Hills and watched every episode until the last season when I just kinda lost interest. Heidi's boobs just got in the way and I knew there wouldn't be any more anyways, so I cut our early. Lauren's collection at Khol's is actually pretty appealing and good quality. Her tops are adorbale!

  73. Well, first of all, thanks for the sweet words! :)

As far as getting my blog "out there", I don't really have a formula or anything. I have just been blogging regularly and trying to be a part of the community as best I can. I know, it can be hard to get followers... but I try not to focus on my # of followers and more on having the ones I do have really like me, you know? :) Hope that helped!

  74. Aw, yes, I'm guilty of watching embarrassing TV shows. We actually don't have cable, so I don't watch much TV... every once in a while I will start a bad show on Netflix and then get hooked and watch it all the way through! This Virgin Diaries has me intrigued... it sounds gross... I kind of want to watch it... Don't hate me.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Someday I'd like a Lauren Conrad blouse. She has some pretty stuff. :) I've always wanted to steal something off someone's plate that had never been touched! Wouldn't want it to go to waste, right! :)

  76. Don't do it...not worth it. Trust me on this one. If you think LC is boring, her little sis is worse.
